SEO Demonstration Revisited Again…

Tut! After nailing down a strong looking #1 with our seo demonstration page (for that term) a few weeks ago now, and despite it’s unflinching stability there until a few days ago, Google in it’s infinite wisdom (and really who are we to question such omnipotent power) has seen fit to randomly de-index it, along with another page which was #1 or #2 for it’s title phrase, SEO Engine Room.

Because of the content crossover principles we always try to apply during our content design we’re still up there for ** seo demonstration ** with another much newer page seo domination, at about #3.

Now if it were just the seo engine room page we would be wondering if there was something to the theory proposed over at Sphinn a little while ago regarding use of nofollows as a red flag to Google, because, as with much of our site, the engine room page is an experimental page making heavy use of the rel=nofollow attribute.

However the SEO demonstration page, which is much older and more established still, doesn’t have a single nofollow on it, and also disappeared the same day.
The randomness of Google can never really be accounted for fully, and it can often be difficult to appreciate why Google acts the way it does sometimes, but all you can do is just carry on doing the right things, they’ll come back in the end, they always do…
