Working on SEO for Flash as we do quite a bit, we’re well aware that Google have always been very clear in their language when it comes to how we should use Flash in web design and it’s inherent SEO limitations.

So thanks to Janeth over at Webproworld, and www.ineedhits.com for this one, it looks like Google might have decided to actually allow the user to bypass your “lovely” flash intro altogether, straight from the search itself . whoops!

Google lets us skip flash intro

………. We havent yet found this happening on any of the flash sites we look after, and are not sure if there is a special condition in place on the Yuasa France site causing this but it really will show the true user feelings about Flash intros.

& here’s the Googlesystem blog post on the subject from the 11th (just found now)

So, if the public en masse, all start choosing to bypass your bloody Flash Splash intro altogether, then will you believe us??!! (rhetorical question to flash-obsessed clients & designers)

we will be using the button every chance we get.
