We’ve been in London this week conducting SEO training courses with one of our favourite clients, working on best practice usage of their business blog.

We first wrote about seo blog integration back in March 08 and have been beavering away on installing and integrating blogs on clients sites all over the place since then.

There is no doubt whatsoever that used properly blogs can be an awesome SEO tool, but what is even better is when the clients actually take to the blog & blogging, and really make it their own, ie. it takes on a life of it’s own & becomes more than something we do to help SEO & traffic.

This is the key really, as there are more than enough crap business blogs started and abandoned, having never really contributed anything much to the interweb.

Successful seo blog integration means not only integrating the blog into your website, but integrating blogging into your working life. The advantages of business blogging are many and varied, and have been discussed to death elsewhere and so we will not add yet more web-wordage to the subject, simply to say that we are now seeing the benefits of the work thus far extremely clearly, and its taken less than 2 months in some cases.

Many companies will tell you that all you need to do is install wordpress in the domain with the site and get posting, and although that is better than nothing, it’s not quite as simple as that to get the super-duper-turbo-monsters we deliver, as we have now developed several techniques to really take it to the next level.

Unfortunately these currently fall firmly under the “competitive advantage” tag and so we cannot chat about it on here, not until we’ve at least seen them used or discussed elsewhere..
