So as predicted by Matt Cutts (and us over the last week on DP, and on here yesterday) overnight Big G did their PR update thing again, (coincidentally?) on the aniversary of their 10th birthday.
Google is ten years old today how’s that for a ten year old eh?
Fairly uneventful for us, this blog came up to it’s rightful position of a 4, - PR3 was always too low for it’s ranking power, and our main domain stayed at 5.
The PR prediction tool had been saying 6, but we did think that was maybe a little optimistic for a 10 month old site. Client-wise no real movement except for one blog integration project which again went up from a 3 to 4.
To us the most interesting part of PR updates is the movement on site’s inner pages, because it often gives you an idea of how effective your internal linking structures are, and what may need further work.
The least interesting part is the multiple lame ass threads on DP by muppets continually asking the same questions over and over, and even more irritiating than that are all the other “know-it-all-but-actually-know-nothings” answering them with their “its every 3 months” or “only Google knows” nonsense-answers, just writing something to up their postcounts.
It has been anywhere from 5 weeks to 4 months apart for this whole past year now, and after every main update there is a small correction in 3-6 weeks too.
All that can be accurately predicted now, is that the timings are completely unpredictable these days, so please, just shut your noise and wait and see..
we’re off to study the client portfolio in detail now, have a nice weekend all
‘A luego amigos..
