Ibiza A-Z SEO version II

by seoibiza on 20, October, 2008

We first mentioned this site here all the way back in March this year which after an Ibiza summer seems eons ago.

Despite being based on the technically advanced Google maps API it had certain SEO challenges, which given the site structure and medium, combined with an ever – changing front page were always going to limit it’s ranking potential.

So you’ll all be very glad to know that courtesy of their technical wizard it’s now had an SEO v2.0 rewrite to get it flying high at it’s full rank-ability, and can be seen here Ibiza A-Z.

We get a lot of people asking us to get their site on the first page of Google for just “Ibiza” and mostly have to politely decline because we don’t think the site is what Google would consider relevant enough for that term to be page one, however this one truly is.

It would be no exaggeration to say this is probably the most complete Ibiza resource site on the web today. As an example of their comprehensive coverage, they have 84 Ibiza beaches listed as opposed to 31 and 45 on the other two main Ibiza resource sites.

Their Ibiza restaurants section is equally comprehensive, their Ibiza accommodation section lists more budget hostels and apartments than anyone else and (for a welcome change in Ibiza) they are not trying to sell the services or make money from you for supplying this info.

The site is even partially  iphone enabled (since their work on the sister site iphoneibiza.com opened up the technology) allowing you to dial numbers at the touch of a button from your iphone should you wish to contact anyone in their listings.

We’re very pleased for them and will be keeping a close eye on it’s behaviour over the next few months to ensure full potential is reached, watch this space..

that maps API is really clever. we should maybe look at using that somehow. will it help with Google-friendliness / rankings?
