Ok so these are the two indexes we’ve been watching, handily enough, both the machines seem to lock onto an index each.
Normal Index New / Weekend Internal search – both indexes
.
The pictures above
The “Normal” index is more how things have been recently, although heavy flux in the last few days.
The New or “Weekend” index – some big gains, noticeably in SEO services, SEO web design, SEO Design, all the tougher phrases, but also some largish drops, in small business seo, and a lot of our medium ground keywords, which are all easier to rank for than the ones that have shot up.
Internal search is not what you get at customs for looking a bit suspect, but a side-by-side screenshot of 2 Google searches within our own site using the site: operator for the term “superior seo” You can see pretty clearly see how Google is looking at the site differently across these two indexes, by the running order of the pages, and the main domain suspiciously absent on the right.
We either have major structural problems and a broken site or this is Google experimental, new or broken data of some sort, and judging by this below, the main domain ranking #12 for SEO in a * site:www.seoibiza.com seo* search, sandwiched between two greyed out pages on the site.

Whilst simultaneously putting in an all American Google #21 for SEO!
..so we think it’s probably Google not us.
It will be fascinating to see how it plays out with the merging / filtering or whatever else they’re doing with all their indexes and what the new results finally look like.
