Our most popular single blog post so far this year (by a long way) has been D1g1tal Numpty of the Year 08 / 09, covering the so-far anonymous “Dick” ‘s exploits in the world of Flash SEO (in the loosest possible sense, we assure you)

The post itself is currently hanging teasingly at #11 for “Numpty” on Google.co.uk and about #14 on .com, and seems to have temporarily stalled.

The same cannot be said for Numpty himself however, his Digital assault is growing in pace and there has been substantial work done to his flagship personal website since the original post was written.

It would appear however that this technical comedy genius, tech director of a well known UK ad agency hasn’t yet heard of spellcheck nor proofreading for unintentional hilarity.

Quoting some of the deliciously ironic gaffes from the site below, with the one word company name replaced with Numpty, and the spelling errors in red,  smilies on the bits that made us laugh (and we are MORE than happy to link to you for for credit Dick, just say the word.

Numpty – Working Smarter [sic]

I have owned the company Numpty Ltd for many years now. Considering the increasing relevance of the name in todays markets, not to mention my own pedigree (and others i have met along the way) – it is a no-brainer to pool this talent together under Numpty. All the best people make money for ohers – lets get them all under one virtual roof!!! 

The companies ethos will be working smarter and we’ll utilise all technology available to achieve this at unprecedented costs. I also plan to contribute a sinificant proportion of  Numpty’s profits to worthwhile charitable courses.

I am currently contemplating releasing shares in this venture via the internet, the shreholders actively participating in approving what projects we work on and testing the finished applications, thus all contributing to the comapnies success. They would also get to vote on which charities we get involved with.

Ok, Dick, you haven’t thought this through have you? “the shareholders are going to be testing the finished products?” are they software testers in their spare time then?  hahahahaha  too funny.

Sadly we have most likely lost out on this wonderful chance to become shareholders in D1g1tal Numpty Ltd after we passed up the opportunity to become his SEO partners, however we are sure there will be queues round the street to cough up their hard-earned into Numpty’s company, or, well, domain name anyway, because that’s what this business plan seems to be based on, plus pooling together of the “no-brainers” ?

so anyway don’t miss out on joining up with a valuable domain name that’s done nothing for years.

Once again if anybody really wants to find him (even though he’s now deleted his HTML pages from his flash site) they can do so via his SEO powerhouse of a blog -by searching for this line below, in quotation marks.

If you find the site, switch your javascript off and take a look. The hidden links are still there, but  as they’re now pointing at pages he’s deleted he at least cant be accused of doing anything for the search engines (at all, never mind exclusively..)

And as the temptation to slide his name into the title tags grows ever stronger we fight a daily battle to keep the darkside of the SEO force under control..

A cross-index first page for Numpty would  satiate it, for the moment, anyway..
