Google Caffeine Live?

by seoibiza on 3, September, 2009

So, some are saying Google caffeine is already live in places, and will be going live on the American Holiday of labour day which this year is the 6th of Sept 2009

OK it is speculation, but it’s speculation from “those that know” and those  that watch Google most closely, from the place we go to find out the latest happenings while Algo updates are going on etc, so we think this particular rumour or prediction may well be close to what will happen.

Google has a history of introducing big changes over holiday weekends. No big surprise there, and it makes sense to do it when a larger-than-normal portion of the Google audience is barbecuing or watching parades.

BTW, I agree with your suggestion that Caffeine may not have “all the penalties in place yet.” That would make sense, too: A change this big needs to be deployed step by step. Critiquing or second-guessing a work in progress is a waste of time.

And yes, second guessing the current caffeine may well be a waste of time, but it’s fascinating all the same.

well.. This week there are lot of changes found in Search Results..

from last 4 to 5 days all my rankings are up and down constantly..so I believe Caffeine implemented now..

there has indeed been a lot of flux the last few days, but it still doesnt align with what caffeine on the sandbox URL shows us.

not convinced its implemented yet

The update is going to be major and everyone will notice it.

seoibiza 18, September, 2009 at 10:46 am

Hey Anton.

am not so sure, there’s a lot of people saying the infastructure is in already and it’s an algo shift left to come.

if that’s the case they can blend old and new, tweak, rollback etc etc as they do with all the algo shifts.

we will see at some point i suppose

I’ve seen my site, go up and down, so there’s something going on, but I’m not sure because I’m making changes and the site is too old for the sandbox effect…

I hope it happens soon. It looks like it might have been implemented then taken off line because my site ranking fluctuated a lot.

It is already Dec. Have you seen any change? Still I have not seen any abrupt SERP change happened. I think Caffeine infrastructure will give more fast and more relevance result and not to disturb the existinf result much.

I think its online i saw some fluctuations in search engine results which are most probably caused because of Google Caffeine going live….

Buy Gold & Silver 19, January, 2010 at 9:48 am

Hi. I think it’s already online too, on certain datacenters anyway, and the SERPs are fluctuating as though it’s partially rolled out but reverts to the old result set sometimes too.

have you noticed anything yet?

Max. ..may we direct you to the last comment you left here and our response.

you should understand that we run Woopra here and so see every visitor, what they searched for to get here, where they went, where they commented, and we see it live, so we know exactly the motives.

now if I thought this was a genuine question, I would happily answer it, but as I know it was just something to type, to get a link, I really can’t be arsed to respond. sorry.

if you sort your onsite spam levels out (as per yr last comment) we’ll liven the links up.

Max @ Immigration VIP 20, February, 2010 at 7:17 pm

The content of the website is the most important – Density of the right words ….

I have seen completely stupid websites with no incoming links , by repeting several time ( over 15 % density ) the same word, well they rank in the first page for a very competitive word.

seoibiza 20, February, 2010 at 7:22 pm

lol, so link to your splogg instead? :)

& please tell me you are joking? kw density is an utter myth.

I promise you, that’s not the right direction to be going in. that kind of “SEO” stopped working in the early to mid 2000′s.

if you’d like to point out the website that ranks with no links and 15% kw density for a competitive keyword then maybe we can explode this myth right here?
